NO HANDSHAKE? NO PROBLEM! 😄👋
Who says you must shake hands to show respect?
During an Ebola outbreak, even our greetings need a little adjustment!
You can wave, smile, nod, bow slightly, give a thumbs-up or place your hand on your chest. The respect remains the same!
Ebola spreads through direct contact with the blood or other body fluids of an infected person who is symptomatic, so avoiding unnecessary physical contact is an important precaution during an outbreak.
And please, don’t be offended when someone refuses your handshake. They may simply be protecting both of you.
You can greet your lecturer, colleague or even your mother-in-law without shaking hands! 😂
At LASU Epe Health Centre, we encourage everyone to stay informed, stay safe and protect our campus community.
Which of these six greetings would you adopt?
