TimeTestedInfo ||NCC Commends Glo for Exceeding Customer Complaint Resolution Targets

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has commended telecommunications operator Globacom for exceeding regulatory benchmarks for resolving consumer complaints, citing the company’s performance in August 2026.

The commendation, conveyed in a letter signed by Kabiru S. Haruna, Principal Manager, Consumer Protection and Advocacy at the NCC’s Consumer Affairs Bureau, recognised Globacom’s performance in resolving consumer disputes within the period under review.

In the letter, the commission said the operator had surpassed its prescribed complaint-resolution thresholds for Level 2 (L2) complaints, describing the achievement as evidence of its commitment to regulatory compliance and improved customer service.

“We are pleased to note that your organization achieved and surpassed the Commission’s complaint resolution thresholds of 90% and 97% for Level 2 (L2) complaints,” the regulator stated.

“This accomplishment reflects your commitment to regulatory compliance, consumer satisfaction, and the continuous improvement of service delivery.”

The NCC noted that the prompt resolution of customer complaints and adherence to regulatory service-level agreements (SLAs) were important to building consumer confidence across the telecommunications industry.

It urged Globacom to sustain its performance and continue working towards improving service quality and customer satisfaction.

Responding to the commendation, Globacom attributed the improvement to ongoing staff training and continuous upgrades to its telecommunications infrastructure.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to service excellence, assuring subscribers and the regulator that customer satisfaction would remain a priority.

The recognition comes amid the telecommunications sector’s continuing focus on service quality, consumer protection and the timely resolution of subscriber complaints. For operators, effective complaint management remains an important measure of customer relations, particularly as subscribers expect reliable connectivity and prompt responses to service disruptions.

While the NCC’s commendation highlights Globacom’s reported performance in August, sustaining the achievement will require consistent compliance with regulatory standards and continued attention to subscribers’ concerns.
