MTN Nigeria has continued its staff volunteerism initiative with employees across various divisions engaging directly with communities to promote equitable and accessible healthcare services.

The outreach programme, which took place in different locations, focused on improving access to essential healthcare while encouraging preventive health practices among community members.

As part of the initiative, volunteers provided free medical screenings, diagnostic tests, medications and healthcare support to residents. The programme also featured awareness campaigns on disease prevention, nutrition and personal hygiene, aimed at helping individuals make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

In addition, participants were given opportunities to consult with medical professionals, while MTN volunteers facilitated the distribution of MoMo Health Insurance packages to enhance access to healthcare coverage. Blood pressure monitors were also donated to support ongoing health monitoring within beneficiary communities.

According to MTN, the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to supporting healthier communities through employee-led volunteer efforts and sustainable social impact programmes.

The activities are scheduled to culminate in a closing ceremony on Wednesday, June 24, at the MTN Plaza Rooftop Event Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, where stakeholders, volunteers and participants will gather to celebrate the achievements of this year’s programme.

MTN said the event will serve as an opportunity to reflect on the impact recorded during the outreach and reinforce its commitment to community development through volunteerism and healthcare interventions.
