Israel’s Home Front Command has cautioned citizens across the country to avoid gatherings and minimize movement in public spaces amid the ongoing conflict with Iran.
The directive was disclosed in a statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, on Sunday.
IDF urged citizens to remain close to protected areas until an official update is provided.
“Movement in public areas should be minimized, and public gatherings must be avoided.
“Upon receiving an alert, enter a protected space and remain there until an official update is issued,” the IDF said in a statement.
The Home Front Command is a part of the IDF and is responsible for civil protection in Israel.Israel and Iran have intensified their conflict in the past few days.
The Israeli military launched several airstrikes on Iran, killing most of the country’s top military officials on Thursday.But Iran retaliated, firing hundreds of ballistic missiles toward Israel, killing about three people, as Israel claimed.
