A fire incident occurred at the Zamfara State governor, Dauda Lawal’s residence in Gusau, at about 7:20 pm on Wednesday. It prompted the immediate deployment of firefighters to the residence.

The Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Fire Service Board, Engr. Bello Sani Gusau, monitored the firefighting crew to the Governor’s residence in Gusau, the State capital.

Speaking with journalists in Gusau, the State capital, he admitted that there was an inferno at the Governor’s residence, saying that his team is currently working to contain it,” he added.

According to an eyewitness, Sadiq disclosed that the fire affected a security room within the residence, saying that the fire fighters were working to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the house.
