THE ECOWAS Commission convened its annual Human Resources Social Event on April 10, 2026 at its Headquarters in Abuja, bringing together staff members for the New Year Goodwill Presentation, the 2026 Retirees Celebration, and the 2025 Long Service Awards.
The event provided a formal platform to recognise institutional service, celebrate professional milestones, and reinforce cohesion within the Community, reflecting the ECOWAS’ commitment to promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and staff welfare in line with the objectives of ECOWAS Vision 2050.
The ceremony was graced by senior leadership, including the Commissioner for Internal Services, Habibu Yaya BAPPAH, and the Director of Cabinet, Abdou KOLLEY, who represented the President of the ECOWAS Commission and conveyed a message of appreciation for staff dedication and professionalism, underscoring their central role in sustaining institutional performance and advancing the Community’s mandate.
The Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Amb. Abdel-Fatau Musah, and the Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, Kalilou Sylla were also duly represented, highlighting the importance of a committed and competent workforce in strengthening institutional effectiveness, delivering on the Commission’s priorities and driving regional integration and sustainable development.
