Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, made the allegation in a post on his X account on Monday.

Bwala questioned the manner in which presenters on the station’s Morning Show discuss Obi compared with other presidential candidates.

According to the presidential aide, while the programme frequently features strong opinions and criticisms about other politicians, its coverage of Obi is often framed more as advice than scrutiny.

He also claimed that the station has not broadcast any major trending report considered adverse to the former Governor of Anambra State since he emerged as a presidential candidate.

Bwala wrote: “Is anyone watching Arise News @ARISEtv morning show gossip trending? They have strong opinion on all the candidates, but when it came to @PeterObi, what they have is advice; even the tone of their voices when talking about peter Obi is like surrogates advising their principal.

“I dare to say that they never had any so-called stories trending adverse to peter Obi since Obi has been on the ballot.”

The allegation comes amid growing political exchanges involving Obi and other opposition figures ahead of the 2027 election.
