An Orlando Pirates star has made a huge statement about the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations as he is getting ready to represent the Soweto giants at the tournament.
With Nigeria preparing for their opening match of next month’s tournament in Cameroon against Egypt in Group D, Pirates defender Olisa Ndah is one of the players in the 28-man squad and hoping to make an impact to help the Super Eagles to achieve success.
Ndah, 23, has been outstanding for the Buccaneers since his arrival from Nigerian club Akwa United at the beginning of the season.
Speaking to Nigeria’s Sports Radio Brila FM, the Bucs star could not hide his excitement about his inclusion to the star-studded Super Eagles squad and is foreseeing success with the team.
“I’m grateful to God to be here. It was really a surprise to me and I’m thankful for this opportunity. We have a lot of good players, we have the capacity to win the Africa Cup of Nations, so I’m just going to do my best, play my part and hopefully, everything works out good,” he said.
