Data Modification Activities will no longer be acceptable at any approved National Identification Number (NIN) Enrollment Centres Nationwide.
This was made known by The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) via it’s X handle, on Wednesday as it explained further that the NIMC Self Service Modification Portal is made available for all NIN holders who want to update their data.
It added that despite that the self- service portal had been launched earlier on, People still visited the Enrollment Centres to Update their data, which results to Long queues and slow response services.
This Revelation also stressed that the new policy is implemented to enhance the National Identity Management System.
It reads: ”Modification Activities will no longer be Conducted in Our enrollment centers ,in stead we have launched a convenient self- service modification portal, empowering youths update your information securely and efficiently online”.
Futhermore, NIMC outlined the benefits of Self-Service Modification which includes holders convenience, Swift Service response and easy ability to update information anytime, anywhere “No more long queues and waiting periods .
it enhances the security of data because it is a secured online platform and for it decreases, efficiency, faster and approval”… It added.
However , Users have been laying series of Complains before now about difficulty in getting One Time Password (OTP) to Process, rejections of applications amongst others especially for those desiring to update their information
