In the bustling city of Zaria, nestled in the heart of Kaduna State, resides a man whose journey epitomises the pursuit of passion and the resilience of artistic spirit.
Meet Cletus Zadoc, a 32-year-old expressionist visual artist whose trajectory from childhood prodigy to corporate professional and back to the world of art is nothing short of inspirational.
From his earliest days in primary school, Cletus’ artistic talents shone brightly, earning him the reputation as the most gifted kid in his classes.
His innate ability to capture the essence of his surroundings through vibrant strokes and expressive forms was evident to all who knew him.
Encouraged by teachers and peers alike, Cletus’ passion for art only deepened as he grew older.
Determined to hone his skills, Cletus pursued a degree in Industrial Design from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he specialised in ceramics while taking elective courses from Fine Arts Department.
His time at university provided him with invaluable knowledge and techniques, further refining his craft and fueling his artistic ambitions.
However, upon graduation, Cletus made the difficult decision to set aside his passion for art temporarily, opting instead to pursue a career in the corporate world.
For almost a decade, he dedicated himself to his professional endeavours, excelling in his chosen field but never quite shaking the feeling that something was missing.
It wasn’t until recently that Cletus felt the familiar tug of his artistic calling once again. Inspired by a desire to reconnect with his creative roots, he embarked on a journey of rediscovery, experimenting with wearable art as a means of rekindling his passion.
Through this exploration, Cletus found himself drawn back to the world of painting, where he discovered a newfound sense of freedom and expression.
